Welcome to the information on the inaugural Youth Cayman Island Rugby tour! We are a GO for the Caymans so we are compiling information as fast as we can. Hopefully, this initial page will provide some of the answers that you will need to decide to partake in this amazing international rugby tour.
A note on the history: This is actually the SECOND Cayman Island tour. The first Cayman tour was almost 25 years ago with the Seacoast Women’s Rugby team. At least three players are children of those Seacoast women, not to mention some of those same Cayman Women’s team players are still at the club with their own children!

Itinerary:

Thursday: Travel day
- Arrive in Grand Cayman and settle in at the hotel
- Walk to the beach for a swim
- Dinner at Hotel
Friday: Acclimate to the Island life
- Breakfast at the Hotel,
- Explore the area on foot, relaxing morning
- Meet at the hotel, Eat lunch
- Combined training in the afternoon with Cayman Island Rugby and Former England National Player Head Coach
Saturday: Saturday is A Rugby Day!
- Friendly matches and fun at the Cayman Island Rugby Club

Q & A
Do I need a passport?
ABSOLUTELY YES! A passport is required to travel to the Cayman Islands. They are a self-governing British Overseas Territory.
Can I come with my child?
Yes, we have room for a parent to travel with each child. If you would like to bring two parents it will be based on availability and how many are going. If you would like to bring your entire family you can book through Travel Adventures with Jenny B and take advantage of group rates. You may end up at the hotel across the street which does not have a kitchen.
I have food allergies, will that be accommodated?
Yes, we will be experimenting with different food strategies as this is the first time we’re doing a Cayman tour with youth, however, we have kitchens available and will be able to prepare food to accommodate your special diet.
Will this be all about rugby?
We are going to enjoy lots of rugby but we have built the schedule so that the tour is also a beach vacation. There is also an opportunity for a boat tour that all the children will be invited on and some adults based on space.

Parents are invited along with their child and you’ll definitely want to spend the day at the clubhouse on Saturday, but we’re not the boss of you! Explore!
How many players are you bringing?
We are planning on bringing 10 players. As this is a new tour relationship, we are keeping to a small dynamic group of athletes and parents.
I have travel points, can I book my own flight?
Yes, we can work that out with Travel Adventures with Jenny B, you are welcome to use points though you will likely not be traveling with the team.
How is the money going to work?
We need people to commit as soon as possible so that we can plan on definite numbers, we need a response by October 1, 2024. We will require a deposit in October to save your spot (set at $200 right now) and the remainder can be paid in one or two payments. The Cayman Islands make a great Christmas present!
We are also looking at group fundraising to defray costs and we are asking the club to cover the cost of the van through our sponsorships. More information to come on the fundraising front but we wanted to get the initial number out there as fast as possible. We know lots of folks are traveling to other things over the winter.
