Welcome to the 5th/6th Grade Ospreys Rugby Team!

Our program is designed to introduce young athletes to the exciting world of rugby, fostering both physical and personal development. Our 5th/6th grade team is coed, welcoming both boys and girls. No experience is necessary, as we welcome all skill levels and focus on skill development and enjoying the game. While games are played as flag rugby, we introduce tackle techniques during practices to help players gradually build their skills.

What We Offer:

• Fundamental Skills: Players will learn the basics of rugby, including passing, tackling, and strategic play. Flag rugby is a great way to learn the basics of the sport in a safe, non-contact way.
• Teamwork and Sportsmanship: Emphasis on developing strong team dynamics and respecting opponents.
• Physical Fitness: Training sessions aimed at improving overall fitness, agility, and strength.
• Experienced Coaching: Led by experienced coaches who are dedicated to nurturing talent and promoting a positive sporting environment.

What Does Registration Include?

• Practice shirt
• Team-branded ball
• Uniform shorts and socks
• Game shirts (provided on game days, not for players to keep)
• Optional custom team-branded jersey with a selected number (first come, first serve) and the player’s last name

Season Start and Practice Information

• The season begins in the first week of April.
• Practices are held two times a week in the evenings at 3 Cold Springs Road in Dover, NH. Practice times will be announced at a later date.
• Games are held on the weekends.
• Team coaches will provide more information regarding game and practice schedules.
