Men’s Rugby Opens At Home Saturday, September 10

The Freedom men’s team will open its 2016-17 season with a home match on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Sanderson’s Field in North Hampton, NH. Kickoff for the A-side is slated for 1 pm.

DIRECTIONS TO SANDERSON’S FIELD, next to 33 Hobbs Road, North Hampton, NH:

From Portsmouth: Get on Route 1 SOUTH and go about 6 miles and look for Seacoast Power Equipment on the right. About 300 yards further turn RIGHT onto Hobbs Road (note: do not make a U-turn onto Elm Road, if you come to the traffic light at the junction of Route 111 then you have gone about 3/8 of a mile too far). Go about 1/2 mile staying on Hobbs Road, past New Road, around the bend, and the field is on the RIGHT behind a line of trees.

From Dover and the Northwest: Take the Spaulding Turnpike EAST to the Portsmouth Traffic Circle and go STRAIGHT through onto the Route 1 Bypass southbound. That will take you to Route 1 SOUTHBOUND. Go about 6 miles and look for Seacoast Power Equipment on the right. About 300 yards further turn RIGHT onto Hobbs Road (note: do not make a U-turn onto Elm Road, if you come to the traffic light at the junction of Route 111 then you have gone about 3/8 of a mile too far). Go about 1/2 mile staying on Hobbs Road, past New Road, around the bend, and the field is on the RIGHT behind a line of trees.

From Exeter: Take Route 111 (North Hampton Road) and go past the onramps for 101. Go about 2 miles and you will cross over I-95. Go about 600 yards more to a stop sign and go STRAIGHT. Go up the hill (note church parking lot on left at top of hill) and the field is about 200 yards down on the LEFT behind a line of trees.

From Durham and Newmarket: Take Route 108 SOUTH through Newfields to the traffic circle at the intersection with Route 33 in Stratham and stay on 108/33 south toward Exeter. About 1/2 mile past the traffic circle you will pass Hodgies Ice Cream on the right, go about 200 yards further and turn LEFT onto Bunker Hill Avenue (if you go past the BMW dealership on the right then you have gone too far). Go for about 2 miles, pass Union Road, bear RIGHT at Fifield Avenue, bear LEFT at Heights Road onto Lovering Road. Go about 1/2 mile and bear RIGHT onto Walnut Avenue. Go to the end of Walnut and turn RIGHT onto Post Road and go about 300 yards to the center of town (just before bandstand) and turn LEFT onto Hobbs Road (note church parking lot on left). The field is about 200 yards down on the LEFT behind a line of trees.

From I-95 northbound and the South: Take I-95 North to EXIT 2 (in NH) and go WEST on 101. Take 101 WEST about 0.75 mile to EXIT 12, Route 111. At the bottom of the ramp turn RIGHT onto Route 111 towards North Hampton. Go about 2 miles and you will cross over I-95. Go about 600 yards more to a stop sign and go STRAIGHT. Go up the hill (note church parking lot on left at top of hill) and the field is about 200 yards down on the LEFT behind a line of trees.

From I-95 southbound and the North: From I-95 southbound take EXIT 3B and turn LEFT at the light onto Route 33 WEST. Go about 0.9 mile to the 3rd traffic light and turn LEFT onto Ocean Road at the corner where the big truck stop is. Go straight for about 1.9 miles to the light at the intersection of Route 1 and turn RIGHT onto Route 1 SOUTH. Go about 3.5 miles and look for Seacoast Power Equipment on the right. About 300 yards further turn RIGHT onto Hobbs Road (note: do not make a U-turn onto Elm Road, if you come to the traffic light at the junction of Route 111 then you have gone about 3/8 of a mile too far). Go about 1/2 mile staying on Hobbs Road, past New Road, around the bend, and the field is on the RIGHT behind a line of trees.

From I-93 and the West: Take Route 101 EAST to EXIT 12, Route 111 and at the bottom of the ramp turn LEFT onto Route 111 towards North Hampton. Go about 2 miles and you will cross over I-95. Go about 600 yards more to a stop sign and go STRAIGHT. Go up the hill (note church parking lot on left at top of hill) and the field is about 200 yards down on the LEFT behind a line of trees.

ATTENTION: THERE ARE LIMITED PARKING SPACES AT THE FIELD. PLEASE MIND THE NO PARKING SIGNS. Please do NOT park within 20 feet of anyone’s mail box or driveway or within 50 feet of an intersection. To Find Additional Parking: Go past the field on your right and the church is 100 yards down on your right. If that is full go LEFT out of the church parking lot and bear right onto Route 111 (Atlantic Avenue). Go about 1/2 mile to the intersection with Route 1. Park in the parking lot for the shopping center across Route 1 and on your right. You should organize someone to shuttle you back to the field before you go to the shopping center.
