The Seacoast Men beat the Boston Maccabi RFC 19-18 in the NERFU Men’s Club Division 3 Semifinals held today at Dover, MA. Seacoast was down 18-0 with 30 minutes left but came back on 2 trys from Dan Mayton and 1 from Jesse Beaton.
The win propels Seacoast into the league championship match next Saturday, November 16, 2013. The match will be held at New London, CT, home of the New London County RFC. New London won the other semifinal today, defeating MIT on a penalty kick in overtime.
The winner of NERFU Division 3 will progress forward to play the winner of the Empire GU (NY and NJ) in the spring for the USA Rugby National League Competitive Region 3 championship. The NCR3 champion then goes on to the USA Rugby Round of 8 on May 17-18, 2014 at a location in the eastern US to be determined.
